“ Best bakery ever! I've been going here for decades and everything is consistently delicious. The people are pretty friendly, and the pastries are yummy-- ESPECIALLY their puffies. And OMG if you haven't tried them, go get some like, right now. Love this Small country bakery & its old Hawaii plantation era vibes. ”
“ The original for sure . There are so many people on island that try to duplicate these delicious puff pastries and they just can't ! We have been going here for years and we take all of our friends and family here every time they come visit . We usually get our kids some donuts and grab a couple of yahoos and they just hit the ”
“ Aunty gave me an extra donut :) A little dry but the main dessert was the snow puffy! First time I had it today after all these years, delicious! There's not much space so order quickly so the next person can come and go... we didn't grab a number ”
“ Best little hidden gem in Oahu. 10/10. I come back any time I can. The people are nice, the pastries are perfection. It does get busy though, things get sold out quick! ”
“ Snow puffins are worth the stopover when nearby Haleiwa area. They just melt in your mouth. The lady behind the counter definitely did not enjoy being there though. ”
“ Came here with a friend who recommended I get the snow puffies - well worth the visit! We don't really have something like that on Maui so it was a great experience. They're super sweet yet with a great pastry texture, they're sure to satsify those with a sweet tooth - Miguel Morales Photography ”
“ We stopped by Paalaa Kai as we were leaving Hale'iwa heading back to town. Their sig item is the snow puffie. The snow puffie is custard filled, and the outside is flaky and buttery. It is an awesome combination. Regarding the ambiance, PKB is small. There is no seating, but there is a bench outside. They also offer malasadas, donuts, turnovers, cookies, sandwiches and other desserts. The staff is super nice and efficient. We were in and out quickly. Support this local biz when you are in the North Shore. They serve excellent sweets with a whole lot of Aloha. ”
“ We traveled a long way for this bakery and it was worth very mile. These pastries are so good and the ratio of filling to flakiness is perfected. It's a small establishment that kind of looks like a quickie mart from the street, but make no mistake, once you walk in it is pure delicious heaven. Two words - Snow Puffies - even as I'm typing these 2 magical words my mouth is watering. Flaky on the outside with some powdered sugar and custard filling, they will leave you wishing you got one more. Bonus tip - if you go after 5, everything is half off. ”
“ Home of the original snow puffies! Light tasting, flaky, pastry puff generously filled with custard on the inside, chocolate swirls on top, abundance of powdered sugar, and chilled in glass display. I agreed to get snow puffies as long as someone can consume the chocolate swirls for me. Deal! I love how light and flaky the pastry puff tasted! Custard filling was indeed cool and light tasting! Powdered sugar offered a layer of sweetness. Cool mess! If it gets really crowded, I highly recommend pulling a ticket where the stand is outside. Layout is horizontal and narrow. Workers are swift. I would definitely return for the snow puffies minus the chocolate on top! There's butter rolls and assorted pastries that I'd love to try next time. ”
